Removed from a Cessna 172PLess Door Latch and Window Latch
Opening window. Most we get in don’t have this feature so if you’re thinking about it you need to jump on it. Ships oversize, so call.
And now, the terrible secret of Cessna cabin doors: When they build the plane, they make the cabin entrance a little small, and the cabin door a little big, then they size each to fit. Some planes have bigger holes for the door, some planes have smaller doors for the holes, it all depends on what got filed on more the day they installed it. Hence you’ll want to check the door fit once you get it. We don’t really have a good way of telling you which is which until we try the door in the hole, especially since just a little bit here or there can make such a difference.
Our return policy is pretty liberal, and we can explain that to you when you call. Mostly what we’re saying is you’ll need to check the door against your airplane to make sure this will work.
