Will you answer questions regarding the condition of bid aircraft?
No. Dawson Aircraft will not answer any questions regarding the condition of stored aircraft.
Can I come to your facility to inspect an aircraft on which I wish to bid?
Yes. You may come to inspect aircraft provided that you have a copy of the bid sheet from the insurance co. or authorized entity. You will also be escorted by a Dawson Aircraft staff member.
When can I come to look at the aircraft?
You may come during our business hours, which are: M-F, 8 am to 5 pm CST, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Can I take pictures?
Yes. You may take photos, but only of the aircraft in which you are authorized to inspect.
Can I remove panels for inspection?
Yes. You may remove panels at the discretion of Dawson Aircraft and within the parameters of allowances of the insurance co. or authorized entity. We will not, however, remove the panels for you or provide tools to do so. All panels must be replaced after inspection.
Aircraft Pick-up FAQs
Once I have been awarded an aircraft, when can I come pick it up?
Pick-up can only take place during our regular business hours, which are: M-F, 8 am to 5 pm CST, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Also, all fees and charges against the aircraft must be paid prior to pick-up.
What paperwork is required to pick up the aircraft?
You must have written release from the insurance co. or authorized entity - NO EXCEPTIONS.
Would Dawson Aircraft load my airplane?
No.
Am I responsible for loading the aircraft?
Yes. Dawson Aircraft is strictly a storage facility. All loading and transport operations involved with the aircraft are solely the responsibility of the buyer
What if I don't have equipment for lifting the aircraft?
Lift equipment may be available for use, but ONLY under the following conditions:
